S/V Ganache

Welcome to the web home of S/V Ganache. S/V Ganache is a Canadian-registered sailing vessel whose home port is Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada. In 2001, we moved to California. After a year lying in the San Francisco Bay Area, she is now back in False Creek, Vancouver.

Ganache is home to her owners, Katrina Archer and Guylain Roy MacHabée. We are sad to report that Oreo the sailing cat left us for pastures with better catnip on October 21st, 2001. However, on July 2, 2002, we added Diesel the sailing cat to the crew manifest.

The current Ganache is a 1985 Liberty 458. She is currently undergoing a bit of a refit. She replaced the first incarnation of S/V Ganache in September, 2000. She was built in 1985 at the Shin Fa yard in Taiwan. She is hull #17, and her original name was Chosen Lady. We are her second set of owners.

Ganache I was a Beneteau Oceanis 351, commissioned in August, 1994.
