Originally from Montréal, Québec, I've lived in Vancouver, British Columbia since 1992, with the exception of a year-long sojourn in the San Francisco Bay Area during 2001-2002.
In 1994, I moved aboard the sailboat Ganache, with my husband Guylain, our cat and our dog.
I completed my Masters degree in Applied Science at the University of British Columbia in August, 1997. Hey, look! A thesis topic: Craniofacial Reconstruction Using Hierarchical B-Spline Interpolation. I did my research under Dr. David Forsey from the Department of Computer Science and Dr. Rabab Ward from the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering, and spent a good portion of my time in the Imager Computer Graphics Lab.
I've worked as a software engineer and project manager for a variety of companies in film, video games, and aerospace, including Gener8 Digital Media, Radical Entertainment, Pixar Animation Studios, and MacDonald Dettwiler. Feel free to take a look at my resume if you'd like to know more about what I've done and where I'm going.
At the moment, I work part-time, which allows me to scribble at various writing projects. See my blog for details.
